The Princess Risborough Bathroom
A pleasant house in a very pleasant part of the world. A new bathroom with an interesting problem to solve. Did we come up with a solution? Of course we did.

I wish I had remembered my camera before we removed the old bathroom, I'm going to put it down to old age I think. Anyway the old bathroom was, well shall we say "tired" and perhaps thats being alittle kind. Mould and tiles no longer being where they should be where a couple of the faults.
Another suite in black and white with chrome complementing the overall look. I am getting the impression that a few people think alike. I can understand why.

The owners of this house, wanted to get the most from the space and the old layout just did not work. So we came up with an alternative. The only issue was the toilet. The old waste stack pipe was cast iron and refused to rotate. So we had to fit the toilet on the opposite side of the bathroom, hence all of the boxing in.

A smart deep sink that sits off the wall, no pipes visible adds to its clean lines.

Now, this is where the project got a little interesting. For those who have seen a few baths will realise that this bath has been fitted back to front. This was a clever idea. The reason for it is again the old stack pipe. We managed to fit the bath so that the curved corner allowed the stack pipe to run up within that space. This in turn allowed the bath to go back to the wall. This of course created another issue which was how to take care of the corners in relation to the walls.

The answer was to calculate the angles so that we could build some boxing around the bath to create a corner and then tile over it. The result looks fantastic. It gives this bath area its own space and because there are no fix corners as such the bathroom looks bigger.

A chrome towel rail over the bath finishes the look and is so conveniently placed for when you want to leave the bath. Another tidy job...

A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Ryan. Thank you for your trust in us and your patience of course. We are glad that you are really happy with your new bathroom. We look forward to helping you with your kitchen soon.
Thanks again Dave & Ray
