The Egham Project
This a delightful victorian house in Egham. We will be here for the next 4-6 weeks adding an en-suite shower room, updating the existing downstairs bathroom and decorating the master bedroom.

This is the current downstairs bathroom. We will be replacing it with a modern white suite. From here we will be running new water pipes to feed the new upstairs en-suite shower room.

This is the master bedroom. To the left is an in built wardrobe. It will be here that we will be converting it to an en-suite shower room. The space to the right will be all new wardrobes.

Now that the wall has been partly removed where the wardrobe once was, wall paper taken down and the carpet out, we can start to see what we have as a base. Unfortunatly, the walls are not that brilliant and may need to be skimmed and the wooden floorng at some point has suffered from wood worm. All can be treated and put right.

The next step for us will be to lay the new water pipes for the en-suite and consider the drainage for the toilet etc

With the addition of the stud work, the new concealed toilet can now be installed. We have layed new pipes for the basin, toilet, shower including also the waste pipes. We have repaired the walls and added a skim of plaster for a superior finish.

To the right of this picture we have added the mountings, water feed pipes for the basin. In the background you can see the shower control that has been mounted within the stud wall. This will be pumped from the downstairs bathroom which we will be also updating later.
To the right of the ensuite, we will be building a built in wardrobe. Both the wardrobe and the en-suite will be cleverly clothed behind mirror doors.
I must confess, I am looking forward to seeing the end result. It's going to look great.

With the rest of the frame work up, we can now cover the surfaces with plaster board. We will then be fitting the tracks for the glass sliding doors.

With paster boards up and the walls now plastered, this room really is starting to come together, once the door tracks are layed we will cover the whole room in one coat of white as a foundation for the owners to decorate over as they please.

With all the doors fitted, you would never know that it conceals a shower room. The mirror doors bounce the light and now make this room look twice the size.

With this room nearly complete, we have now just to lay the floor, fit out the inside of the new wardrobe and finish off the top edge with some coving.

We can now start to tile the shower room and soon after that fit it out. Again clean white tiles and chrome fitting will look clean and fresh.

With this ensuite shower room very nearly completed it looks fantastic. The quality of finish speaks for itself. I love everything about this room, the choice of tiles, fittings, lighting, the flooring and the way the wood flooring has been used for the skirting.

I like the cleverly concealed cupboard behind the mirror, the soft close toilet seat and the way in which it seems to float above the floor

My favourite part about this shower room, is the wood flooring. I really did enjoy laying it, to see such a difference. I don't know why, for me it justs works. It's probably because I love working with wood that I like this the most, the way it is carried up the walls. Keeps things simple and stylish

The main bedroom is also complete with just the inner wardrobes to finish, again Dave has done a great job laying the floor and I have finished it off with painted skirting.

With the shower room nearing completion, our attention is now drawn to the downstairs bathroom. My very good friend and business associate now has to provide yet again some execellent workmanship to match that of up stairs. Brilliant job Dave!!

With the downstairs bathroom completed, you can really see again a big change to how it was. It looks clean and fresh fitted with some nice features.
We have a tapless bath which fills through the overflow waste and the bath controls also control the pumped shower mixer. We have also fitted under floor heating beneath the tiles.
With some bespoke cupboard doors, shelved airing cupboard, small things that take time but make a difference.
