Caught just in time
We never get tired of fitting kitchens or bathrooms. Why, well probably because we never get tired of seeing the transformation and the end result. Sometimes the layout of a room is not always straight forward, but we always try to come up with what we think is the best solution for the customers needs.
On first impressions, this kitchen does not look so bad. Ok, so a couple of the doors are falling off, worktop is splitting etc but for me it is the layout that really lets it down. So it was nice to be given the chanceto design something different that met the customers needs more appropriately.

Alot of the appliances were so tightly packed in against the cupboards that everything was difficult to access. Ultimately it left very little room in the kitchen to work.

This kitchen lacked usable storage, with items building up on the floors, worktops etc what little floor space they had, reduced even further.

So with everything removed, the kitchen re-wired as needed, new ceiling and downlighting the new cabinets can be installed.

And to the final product, subtle changes make a big difference. The tower oven unit with the pull out larder unit make this area much more usable, whilst also increasing the floor area.

With warm tones, this kitchen is an inviting one. Underfloor heating means that the far radiator can be removed thuis increasing again the floor area. With lots of useful storage such as larder units, pan drawers etc everything can be stored away properly and conviently.

I am very keen on the worktop, It is a little different, but it really works well in here with the other colours and is a nice change from the usual black.

This is a nice touch, I made a housing for the microwave which incorporated a wine rack. It was a good way of using the none standard size left by all of the cabinets.

The dining room side now looks smart and the new fidge/freezer sits just right in its space. With the underfloor heating on it looks like the cat has found a new home.

As per usual, Dave and I would like to say a big thank you to Claire, Bob and family. You have been great fun and you always made us feel very welcome. Hope you enjoy your new kitchen. Thanks again.
